Final Update:

Cavendish took win number six and a great second place for Renshaw in the queen stage for the sprinters - the Champs Elysees.  I can't remember a rider winning that many stages in one tour.  Cipollini won four stages in one tour in the nineties, but I reckon you'd have to go back to the days of Eddy Merckx to find a rider who dominated the stage finishes so much.  Contador cruised to a second tour win from as many attempts with Andy Schleck and Lance Armstrong the well deserved place getters.

In the competition, the clear winner is ..... err .... me.  Cashy's Champs were simply too strong, taking it out convincingly with Aiden Lyons and Joe Mcdonell taking the other spots on the podium.  Fourth place is awarded to Mr Consistency Tony Dunford.  The fifth place result could be a little controversial with Jason Bird and Jared Mills both finishing on equal points.  This has led to the introduction of two new rules (see rules page, rules 7 and 8).  Fifth place is therefore awarded to Jason Bird as he accrued 10 more GC points than Jared.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and with the benefit of it you could have picked the 12 top scoring riders for only $70 k (well
within the allocated budget).  The perfect team would have been Contador, Cavendish, Hushovd, the two Schlecks, Wiggins,
Pellizotti, Nibali, Cancellara, Ciolek, Armstrong and Kloden.  Had you picked this dream team you would have won the comp
on 6410 points.
