Its a state open, so club colours are considered mandatory, although some wear all kinds of different shit, depends upon the commissaires.
Handicaps are different to other sorts of races, in this one there is a decent climb about ten kays in, roll through take your turn, encourage people to stay together and when the faster bunches come by.....jump on.
No feed zones, the fastest time in this race is usually around 2.45 or under, the limit riders get about 45 minutes on that, a good carbohydrate meal before and breakfast, two bottles and some gels are well and truly enough believe me. It will pass quickly.
They have spares cars I think you take a spare pair of wheels, label them and hope you have them available if you get a flat, if the faster bunches havent caught you then it is a very good idea, but my thoughts would be to ensure you have good tyres for the event and ensure everything is working well.
The key parts of this race are the first big climb; then riding steady across to young; the narrow rolling roads to Harden and then the hills from Harden back to the Coota turn off.
Lastly, dont over think it, just rock up, learn and enjoy the day. I can tell you 120km in this sort of race feels like about half that distance in training, it passes quickly.
