SSCC Club Tour 31st + 1st November 2009 (inc Hill Climb Challenge)

 

This 2 day tour has it all,  plenty of training miles (k’s) coffee stops, a hill climb to take your breath away and liquid refreshment available from the lovely Bundanoon Hotel.

Cost of the 2 day Extravaganza is $100 (twin share) which includes your dinner on the saturday night, accommodation and Breakfast and sag wagon. Deposit of $50 required by 10th Oct please register now if you will be attending.

What you will need to bring;-
Bike in good working order (with good tyres)
Spare cycling knicks, Jersey/s, Waterproof Jacket , eyewear (expect all seasons in one day)
Casual evening wear, pyjamas, smoking jacket etc
Money for your refreshments en route and evening libation
Patience and Sense of humour.
Some legs capable of riding at a fair crack for a couple of days

Day 1

Arrive at Clubhouse 6:45 to deposit bags into transport
The Tour will depart Sutherland at 7.00 on Sat 30th October, Travel down the old Princes Highway, down Bulli Pass to Wollongong where we will be stopping for Coffee and refreshments @ 9.30. Transport will have your bags available if you need to change and energy drinks and bars will be available to supplement your needs throughout the day.

Depart Coffee Shop @ 10.00 arrive base of Macquarie Pass @ 11.30.
Prizes for the fastest time and Handicap winner will be presented at the Bundanoon Hotel. 
Baggage and discarded clothing will be available at the top with lunch at the Robertson Pie Shop (or nearest watering hole for the Desperado's).
Depart Robertson @ 14:00 arrive Bundanoon 16:00
Tuck bikes up for the night!

16:30 Derailleur Cafe for snack and coffee (for the well heeled) and admire Don Talintyre’s mural.

18:30 Pre Dinner Drinks and nibbles and presentation of Silly Awards.

Awards Include Club Crasher, Half Wheeler, Show Pony, Lover, Drunk, Idiot (always hotly contested), Whinger, and Trainer. Please nominate your Recipient and why they should get an award nominees will remain anonymous

19:30 - 20:00 Dinner - BBQ + Smorgasbord lots of Pasta (if you a vegetarian please let me know before we go so we can arrange suitable fair for you.

22:00 - Unwind !

Day 2

Breakfast (Hot Cooked) 08:00
Depart Bundanoon Hotel 09:00 (Brrr it’s 10 degrees cooler here)
Head to Robertson Pie shop and collect your newspaper for the descent (regroup at the bottom)
Arrive Wollongong  North Beach Cafe @12:00
Depart Wollongong 13:00 and return along the coast rd back at the Sutherland bike track @4pm
