The’ Tasman’ Shield event was started after the club was presented with the ‘Shield ‘ by a visiting Tasmanian team in appreciation of our hospitality and help with billeting, transport, racing, etc

The Tasman Shield consists of a 3 Race Series over the three divisions of Elite (inc U23), Masters and Women

1. Time Trial
2. Criterium
3. Road Race

Scoring is by points, points are awarded as follows;-

• First Place - 5 Points
• Second - 3 Points
• Third - 2 Points
• Fourth - 1 Point
• Starting the Event - 1 Point
• Finishing the Event - 1 Point

Riders do not have to compete in all races to be eligible for Prizes

Perpetual trophies to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place-getters in each division.
