Welcome to Sutherland Shire Cycling Club

SSCC is a place for all riders – from recreational through to racing – across road, track and mountain. Our club is based at Waratah Oval in Rawson Avenue, Sutherland. This location provides riders with a variety of options right on the doorstep. Circling the club house is a custom road cycling track available for social and training rides, as well as official weekly club racing year-round.

Behind the club house is a short purpose-built mountain bike track, which is used to host our monthly Short Track MTB racing, and is the perfect place to introduce kids to mountain biking. And of course, just across the road we have access to the vast network of trails on offer in the Royal National Park. Our club members come from all walks of life, are of all ages and abilities, who share a love of riding. We look forward to welcoming you at a SSCC event soon.

Some great riding and results from our members over the last few weeks with the National Capital Tour, State Individual Time Trial and the Goulburn Great Divide.

In the National Capital Tour Emma Bussell came away with a break through stage win in the Open Women. Emily Hanekroot was 12th in the opening Time Trial of the Womens NRS race then finishing 14th overall. Zak Naumcevski was 20th on the 1st Stage of the A grade men before being ruled out on the tough 2nd Stage. Troy Fisher finished 15th overall in the stacked B grade race.

From the State Individual Time Trial Championships we have a new Elite State Champion in Emily Hanekroot. This is a great accomplishment show the dedication and hard work put in by Emily.

In the Goulburn Great Divide Emily Hanekroot finished 5th in the Division 1 Women and Trevor Hyde had a solid ride to 17th in the Div 3 Mens Race.

To everyone who has competed in these and all races wearing the club colours we congratulate your riders are proud of you all.
