Ben Mikic Foundation Junior Training Camp 12/13 April 2010 In partnership with the Outdoor Education Group (OEG) the BMF are running another Mountain Bike training Program based at Biloela in the Southern Highlands on the 12th and 13th April 2010. The program will cater for three levels of expertise suitable for boys and girls ages 11-20: Level 1: Little or no MTB or off road experience; a general level of fitness is required; with objective of providing confidence to pursue further off road riding through the acquisition of good skills set. Level 2: Some MTB and/or off road experience. Good level of fitness; objective to build confidence, introduce hard skills and develop interest in off road racing. Level 3: Advanced Group of MTB with experience that includes off road technically sound hard skills and/or has done off road racing. A high level of fitness is required; objective to further enhance skills set and encourage more advanced off road racing and competition. Juniors interested in attending should go to www.benmikicfoundation.org.au and read what previous course attendees have said about the MTB programs. Application and Medical Forms can be downloaded as well as a Scholarship Form if student thinks he or she meets the outlined criteria

(This may get me back on track! ) from Tuesday 17th November Clifford Forster at the Delicious Café, Caringbah (next to Camera House) will be open for Coffee and breakfast from 4.30am on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Clifford brews a mean De Manfretti coffee which should give you enough fire power to lead the bunch the whole ride and get back just in time for another one before it wears off Make sure you actually get out of the Cafe for the 5.00 am start !

Tandem rider Required We have a visually impaired member based in Helensburgh who is looking for a training partner with a view to competing next year and perhaps the Paralympics 2012.  Training Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 6-8pm Yes - the lights have been programmed ! Training at Waratakh Park Track 2 under lights for SSCC members.
The normal ‘Social’ bunch ride leaves the Caringbah Inn at 07:00 (GHD, Rocks, Kings Cross, Double Bay, Bondi Junction) and stop for coffee at ‘Robertos’ in Centennial Park @09:00 depart at 09:30 and be back at C’bah @ 10:45. We will be setting a pace that will be suitable for all riders but may need to split the bunch if we get too big and to allow the Hill Climbers to compete in the KOM after Kings Cross. For those who enjoy a higher pain threshold the regular Sunday 6.30 bunch from the postoffice does the small park (RNP) regroups at the Sutherland Servo (dep 8.10) and them chaingang into town. Warning: This is a hard ride !
